Hero Nation and Ypsilanti High Are Taking over 100 Youth to See Black Panther

In partnership with  Ypsilanti High School, Hero Nation will be taking over 100 youth to see the highly-anticipated 'Black Panther' at a special private screening on February 16.

Marvel’s Black Panther is anticipated to be a revolutionary film that will have a lasting impact on Black youth around the world who rarely see empowering examples of Black superheroes within the confines of African cultures.

Thanks to your support, we were able to raise over $10,000 with our YouCaring crowdfunding campaign for this initiative and other Hero Nation events. We will also use these funds to provide goodie bags for every youth after the event full of items related to superheroes, comics, Black culture, and Black creativity. We've also been fortunate enough to have received sponsorships through  Lion Forge and Sistah Geek ,and a partnership with Black Heroes Matter. The campaign will on January 31.

We're extremely excited about this experience and so are the youth. Check out their reactions below when we told a few of them about the big surprise.

Thank you to our sponsors
